George Pollard

George Pollard with his wife Martha Ellen (nee Greenwood, from Todmorden) and their daughters Elsie and Winifred.
They lived at 5 Queens St Harle Syke. George and Martha worked at Queen Street Mill as Cotton Weavers all their lives. They both died on Queens St and Elsie and her husband Sam Cox lived there until the 1970's when they passed away.
George is in the uniform of the Royal Artillery and the photograph is dated 1916 when he came home on leave, he survived the war and lived well into his 80's.
